"Starting Up a Business" brochure

In the brochure "Starting Up a Business", six cooperating authorities give you an overview of what you need to know and do to start up and run your own business. "Starting Up a Business" day

The "Starting Up a Business" day is for individuals considering or about to start up a business of their own. Seven authorities take a look at what you need to know and do to start up your own business. Please note that the lectures are held in Swedish.

The following issues are covered:

  • The path to your own business (business concept, budget, funding)
  • Legal forms of business, business registration and business name protection
  • F tax, accounting, taxes and VAT
  • Recruiting staff
  • National social insurance for entrepreneurs
  • International trading

The day is arranged by the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Swedish Companies Registration Office, The Swedish Patent and Registration Office, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth, the Swedish Tax Agency and Swedish Customs. You also get to meet local advisors and listen to other entrepreneurs sharing their start-up experiences. Attendance is free of charge.

Does your business idea extend beyond the borders of the EU? Swedish Customs helpline, CallCustoms, will be happy to answer your questions regarding importation and exportation.

Swedish Customs also arranges courses and information meetings in several places around Sweden. Such courses and information meetings are currently only offered in Swedish.
