The EU is a customs union, meaning that no duties are collected among the member countries.
When selling an item to a country within the EU, you do not need to submit an export declaration. However, although there is free circulation of goods within the EU, there are certain restrictions. Each country in the EU has the right to seize goods under certain circumstances for reasons of environmental protection and public health and security. Examples of such goods are narcotics, medicines and arms.
